Applying to change your supervisor / supervisory team

You can follow this process if you wish to apply to change your supervisor / supervisory team.

You are encouraged to come and talk to the Doctoral Academy about your situation before applying to change your supervisory team, you can contact the Doctoral Academy support team to arrange an appointment. This will help us to determine if it is the most suitable option for you.

Before you apply to make any change, you should have:

• read and understood the Supervision Policy for Postgraduate Research Degrees;
• discussed your plans with your Doctoral Academy and with your supervisor(s);
• discussed any potential ATAS implications that a change might have with the Student Immigration Team (if you are an international student).

Next steps

Upon submission, your application will be processed and reviewed by University Student Support staff who will contact you with the outcome as soon as possible.
