Bicentenary PhD Studentships
Commencing in September 2025, the studentship will provide more than 40 fully funded PhD scholarships for projects across major research themes within the Faculty. It is open to all nationalities for specific projects.

EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in 2D Materials of Tomorrow (2DMoT)
This fully-funded 4-year PhD programme will provide you with the knowledge and skills for cutting edge, cross-disciplinary research in the science and applications of two-dimensional materials - a new class of advanced materials with potential to transform modern technologies, from clean energy to quantum engineering.

EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Robotics and AI for Net Zero (RAINZ)
A fully-funded PhD programme which will train and develop the next generation of multi-disciplinary robotic systems engineers. These engineers will be trained in both research and commercialisation of Robotics & AI to help revolutionise lifecycle asset management of critical infrastructure, in support of the UK’s Net Zero Strategy.
